In order to pass the time before the release of Overwatch 2, one fan decided to draw Zenyatta, the omnic monk from the game, for more than 200 days. Zenyatta fans have something to look forward to as they count down the days before the release of Overwatch 2 thanks to the amusing daily illustrations, which show Zenyatta in a variety of locations and situations.
According to the Overwatch storyline, Zenyatta is an omnic robot with artificial intelligence that travels the globe in quest of enlightenment. The game's Omnica Corporation built the omnics, robots that eventually engaged in combat with people in the Omnic Crisis but are now considered second-class citizens. In the team-based first-person shooter, Zenyatta is a supporting character with the ability to heal friends with his Orb of Harmony or inflict harm on enemies with his Orb of Discord.
In February 2022, Reddit user ZenUntil5v5 started sharing drawings of Zenyatta. Every day since then, he has continued to do so. Up until the release of Overwatch 2's early access on October 4th, ZenUntil5v5 has promised to keep posting a new illustration every day. The illustrations include Zenyatta in a variety of situations, frequently mocking popular films or TV shows like Bob's Burgers, Avengers: Infinity War, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. The artist even makes a few barbs at the economic methods of the video game industry. In one image from the beginning of September, Zenyatta is shown sitting serenely and carrying a banner that reads, "Stop Stretching 'Free To Play."
Since the game's debut, the Overwatch fan base has produced some amazing fan art, but these daily sketches exhibit a level of dedication that few other gamers could hope to match. In the upcoming sequel, Zenyatta and the rest of the original Overwatch cast will all make appearances and engage in combat alongside or against all-new Overwatch 2 heroes including Kikiro and Junker Queen. One of the most eagerly awaited video game releases of 2022 is Overwatch 2, which just gave content producers one final significant peek before its forthcoming release.
These Zenyatta illustrations demonstrate the enthusiasm that many gamers have for the impending Overwatch 2. In recent years, a number of games have tried to imitate Overwatch's hero-based shooter premise, but none have been as successful or received as much user acclaim as Blizzard's groundbreaking online shooter. Fans of the franchise may soon have access to a lot more creative inspiration according to suggestions that Overwatch 2 may see crossovers a la Fortnite after its debut.
