Surprise! The Nintendo Switch has recently received the Skyrim Anniversary Edition. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is now playable on the Nintendo eShop, according to Nintendo, which is a pleasant surprise for those who want to enjoy the iconic RPG on the go. Nintendo stated on Twitter that "new adventures, enemies, weapons, and more await you in Tamriel." On the #NintendoSwitch, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is now available!”
Naturally, it has been planned for some time. It was only a matter of time after Skyrim's 2017 Nintendo Switch debut that the Anniversary Edition made its way to other systems. But when you wake up and see it's already out, it's a nice surprise.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is available from today, September 29 as a stand-alone bundle or as an upgrade if you already own the base game on your Switch. The base game and all added material are included in the bundle for $69.99 USD, while the upgrade costs $19.99.
Since its release in 2011, Skyrim's become one of the most beloved games of modern times, seeing many, many re-releases. Even though The Elder Scrolls 6 is still several years away, fans would still have to make do with Skyrim whenever they want to play Bethesda's renowned fantasy RPG series. At this point, Skyrim has been around for more than ten years. It's fantastic to see that now that Skyrim Anniversary Edition is available on Nintendo's console, Switch owners can now enjoy community creativity, which does occasionally help make Skyrim feel something new.
