New modifications to the Xbox Home UI are currently being tested by Microsoft and will be made available to everyone in 2023. The layout and appearance will also change, making it simpler to find Xbox games and apps and access locations like the Settings interface. Before releasing its new Xbox Home UI in 2023, Microsoft will be rolling out a number of Xbox Home experiments over the upcoming months.
Lead Ivy Krislov, senior product manager for Xbox Experiences, states, "We know the Xbox homepage is where our gamers spend the most time, and it’s a place that’s very personal," Furthermore, they are aware that they can always improve their services while keeping them quick and comfortable. With this, they hope to address some of the most popular trends and user demands while enhancing the home screen experience. to find out how to handle, a multi-month series of studies are being conducted.
Today, a haphazardly chosen portion of Xbox Insiders in the alpha skip-ahead ring will have access to some Xbox Home tests. A new "Jump Back In" row, which typically displays previously used games and apps, has been added to Xbox Home as part of the first round of preview upgrades. The UI closely resembles Microsoft's Xbox TV app, and there are no huge tiles for the most recently used apps or games, as seen in the screenshot above. The primary UI of the Xbox home console will now include both the quick-search feature and quick-access to settings seen in the Xbox TV app. There is a pinned tile that provides access to the Microsoft Store in addition to the standard "My Games & Apps" tile. Unfortunately, the commercial tile is still visible on the Xbox home screen.
Microsoft should have a more unified interface with better categories when you scroll down and will display recommendations depending on the games you play. Xbox fans have been requesting that Microsoft overhaul the Xbox Home interface for months, with requests to emphasize the display of more dynamic wallpapers, the removal of advertisements, and the provision of greater customizability for the Xbox home screen. While not all of them have yet been addressed by this makeover, there is still time for more changes that might make it more individualized.
