The new Xbox noise suppression option is here to save you if you have Xbox friends that enjoy exhaling loudly into their mics, playing loud music in the background, or clicking loudly on their controller. Owners of the Xbox Series X and S will receive an update today that includes noise suppression for party conversations to eliminate intrusive clicks, background music, and breathing.

Microsoft says that although noise suppression is turned on by default, it is simple to toggle it off or on. You may also turn noise suppression off if you want to keep some background noise in your parties, like music, according to an Xbox support note. Simply click Options once you access the Parties & Conversations section of the manual. You can turn on or off noise suppression there.

Xbox noise cancellation is comparable to the background noise reduction features offered by Discord's Krisp audio filters and Nvidia's excellent Broadcast software for PC users.

A new method of joining friends' games is also included in this new Xbox dashboard update. With cloud gaming, your pals who you share game clips and screenshots with can immediately begin playing on their PC or mobile device, according to Microsoft. Simply click the play button on the video to start playing the clip in the browser. It's comparable to how Google Stadia enables you to share footage and invite friends to play games.
