In one word, it is innovative. It's the ultimate choice for a gaming desk.

The Magnus Pro XL can be called the largest disk that comes in at 177cm*80cm. It is also the heaviest desk weighing almost 32.9kg for the desk alone. It consists of a metal frame including two motors, one integrated into each of the legs.

The two boxes the Magnus Pro XL comes with include the Magpad Desk Mat (and no other accessories) weighing around 77.8kg (171.5lb).

This makes Magnus Pro XL: the desk's adjustable sit/stand functionality. The standard Magnus does not offer this. The Magnus Pro XL can lift 120kg in gross weight (87.1kg if you subtract the weight of the metal desk itself) up to a height of 125cm. It sits only 65cm off the ground at its lowest.

In order to control the Magnus, there's a control panel integrated into the front right of the desk. You can either pre-program three heights to one of the three hotkeys on the desk for quick adjustments or manually tap the up and down arrows for a more granular control. Even the on/off switch prevents any accidental jerks or hand taps from moving the desk at all.

The best part is the sit/stand functionality. The motors quietly move with a liquid action. When they gradually come to a halt means you do not have to worry about what is on the desk whether it is a cup of coffee or a glass of water.

Another impressive thing is how sharp and clean-cut your PC setup looks with Magnus XL. It has got clever magnetic cable management accessories and a discrete cable tray. This keeps USB, audio and power cables out of sight.

A small block of metal having a couple of strong magnets fix the cables in place.

One thing to remember is that these magnetic cable ties are not included within the cost of the desk and can be purchased for $25 for a set of three or for $49 as a set of three alongside two cable management sheaths and a stack of fastening straps.

The other things like the MagRGB Smart Lighting Edition lighting strip of $79 and the Magnetic Headphone Hanger of $29 are not essential at all.

There is an accessory that can be helpful if purchased and it's the dual monitor arm. It clamps onto the desk between the hinged cover and the desk itself and offers sprawling reach for the 28-inch as well as 32-inch monitors. They can be adjusted easily with a few turns of the included tool and can also be easily switched up when you shift from sitting to standing. This will set you back $249 though.

These accessories are not that essential but make the desk feel more deserving of its price tag. At $949 for the Magnus Pro XL alone, you are looking at over $1000 for the all-in setup.

It can be said that this desk is the best and thus you will surely get benefitted by investing in a high-quality sit/stand desk alongside an ergonomic gaming chair that works primarily from home.

It is really great to turn a slab of metal into a combination of cable management and functionality that offers function as well as form.
