Numerous Esports organizations are looking to form a squad for PUBG New State, the future battle royale game that was introduced by Krafton the year before. Now that BGMI has been suspended for a month, the game has already attracted a huge number of gamers which lead to download numbers skyrocketing. These figures continue to rise after the Indian government banned Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI).
One such prominent gamer who came forward and laid his views by saying about the future prospects of Esports players after the game's suspension has been Animesh "8bit Thug" Agarwal, the co-founder and spokesperson for S8UL Esports. Thug earlier suggested Krafton's brainchild - PUBG New State - to maintain the thriving Esports industry in India.
Due to Krafton's lack of updates on the ban, Battlegrounds Mobile India has been missing from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store for over a month now. This has frustrated fans as well as the founders of many Esports organizations. The one and only option for Indian gamers looks to be PUBG New State since the former's destiny appears to be grim.
Just a few weeks after the game was banned, 8bit Thug advised gamers to cease lamenting on its removal and instead concentrate on honing their skills in Krafton's futuristic battle royale gaming title. According to 8bit Thug's tweet, "New State could be the future."
The CEO of 8bit Esports stated on the latest live broadcast that he would be bringing a fresh squad for PUBG New State, implying that their current BGMI roster of Soul Esports would not be transferred to the game. He reportedly said: “The present scenario is that our BGMI lineup will not play any New State Mobile tournaments as of now. Mostly, we will sign a new lineup for New State Mobile. We will wait for the BGMI team until we get confirmed news about the status of BGMI.”
The above statement suggests that the project management team may soon reveal a new roster for the game that functions very similarly to PUBG Mobile or BGMI. The game is constantly improving thanks to new partnerships, improvements, updates, and tweaks, inspiring organizations to hold competitions for it.
The BGMI squad from S8UL Esports actively participated in the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 and finished in 11th place. The squad had already been giving outstanding results at domestic events, by winning the BMPS trophy this season.
