Resident Evil Village will have a trial available for participants on the PlayStation VR 2
headset, according to a tweet from Capcom.

As you would have anticipated, just a small number of participants will be able to spend
time with Lady Dimitrescu on PSVR 2 during this particular trial, which will be open to
the public during Tokyo Game Show. If Lady D shows up at all in the particular trial,
which is expected to include a portion of the Dimitrescu Castle. Having said that, it's
doubtful that the PSVR 2 trial would be very useful if we couldn't experience the nine-
foot-tall vampire tower over us, but only time will tell.

The PSVR 2, a headgear that is exclusive to the PS5 and is anticipated to go on sale in
early 2023, will also be made available to the general public for the first time during this
Resident Evil Village trial. Given this, there is a strong likelihood that there will be
additional PSVR 2 news in the days preceding up to TGS and even more announcements
at the event itself.

Additionally, full PSVR2 support for Resident Evil Village has already been verified, so the
game should be entirely playable on the headset when it launches.

Thanks to modder Praydog, who made a mod that made VR possible for PC players,
Resident Evil Village is already playable in virtual reality. There are therefore still other
ways to experience the Resident Evil franchise in VR if you don't own a PS5 or don't
anticipate purchasing a PSVR 2. Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7 VR mods were also produced by
Praydog. Additionally, PSVR is authorized to support Resident Evil Biohazard.
This isn't the only PlayStation news, earlier today, it was reported that the cost of the
PlayStation 5 will rise.
