Jeremy Disguised Toast is OG member of popular streaming and content creation group Offline TV.
A well-known Twitch streamer Jeremy revealed that he has a possibility to shift to YouTube very
soon and gave examples of LilyPichu and Sykkuno having done the same thing this year.
While reacting to the NICKMERCS and San Diego TwitchCon drama in the recent stream, Disguised
Toast revealed about renegotiating his offer with Twitch.
This was also when he began thinking if a shift to the Google-owned platform would be effective,
considering Twitch's track record of letting popular streamers like Ludwig say that he would be
shifting to YouTube.
Such a move would add the 30-year-old streamer's name to the list of creators who have left Twitch
and shifted to YouTube. There are reasons behind such a move and it includes less bans/strikes and
more lucrative offers.
Big streamers such as Valkyrae, TimTheTatman, and Dr DisRespect all stream on red platform and
have achieved a great success by doing so.
At the time of reading resub notifications on stream, Disguised Toast realized that he had been on
Twitch from Facebook Gaming for at least nine months indicating an impending renegotiation period
where he could try and get better offer from the Amazon-owned streaming platform.
This time Disguised Toast feel that he is having a good chance of getting better deal.
But he had to step backward immediately after saying Twitch's plan to spend money to sign
NICKMERCS backfired due to his recent drama regarding COVID-19 rules for the upcoming San Diego
TwitchCon. He thinks that it might make them hesitant to sign exclusive contracts with streamers.
Then he started speculating what would have happened if he himself tried to get a big contract from
the purple platform and then Disguised Toast felt that he would remiss if he did not decide moving
to YouTube. While ridiculing the last OTV streamer left on Twitch, he argues against the move on the
basis of the fact that a lot of friends have moved already.
As per him the biggest shortcoming is, he would not be able to host watchparties for anime on
YouTube.
Though few supported him in his decision of moving to another platform but others did not support
him.
Myth was the last major Twitch streamer to shift to YouTube in early July.
With many streamers leaving the purple platform, many wonder if Twitch can afford to lose a
popular streamer who is currently having over two million followers on the platform.
