The Thailand-based team of Vampire Esports was declared the winner of the PUBG
Mobile World Invitational (PMWI) 2022's main competition. On the last day, the
team staged a tremendous comeback to win. Taking a sliver out of the joy of earning
a Winner Winner Chicken Dinner, India's Team Soul showcased explosive gameplay
to grab a victory and moved up four spots to take the 11th position.
On the final day, the team scored 47 points thanks to a Chicken Dinner. They moved
up to 11th on the overall leaderboard thanks to their performances in the 6th match of
Day 3. Team Soul was awarded a prize of 58,500 USD, including 33,500 USD in prize
money and 25,000 USD in participation fees (around 47 Lakhs INR). Hector was
crowned the PMWI Main Event winner of the Eagle Eye award.
Performance by Team Soul on Day 3 of PMWI
Match 1 - Getting two early frags in the first match gave Team Soul a good start, but
that didn't last long because they were eliminated after engaging with Vampire
Esports. The Indian team came in at number eight.
Match 2 - Soul and TJB Esports squared off in the second round, which took place in
Miramar. Even though they eliminated two players, the former team received a quick
elimination. Soul ended in a pitiful 18th place without having a single frag to their
name. The match was won by Back2Back with an astounding 13 frags.
Match 3 - Soul put on a strong display in Sanhok, recording six significant kills and
earning seven points through the match. Despite the constantly shrinking zone, the
Indian team was able to claw their way above average. However, with 10 finishes,
Vampire Esports emerged victorious.
Match 4 - Vampire Esports maintained their lead in the following match by winning
13 kills. Team Soul was engaged in an early battle with Damwon Gaming at the same
time. The former side was ousted with just two points despite capturing two frags.
Match 5 - The following match was extremely difficult for Team Soul, who was
quickly eliminated again and could only place 15th. Although they were involved in a
triple-threat battle with Damwon Gaming and Virtual Gaming, they did manage to
score seven frags. With 12 frags, the Falcons came out on top in the end.
Match 6 - With 12 kills, Team Soul saved their best for last and secured their first
Chicken Dinner in PMWI 2022. They rose to the 11th position thanks to their
flawless performance. As they maintained their position throughout the encounter
without losing any players, Soul Omega's zone predictions were put to use. In
contrast, Vampire Esports also performed well and obtained 12 frags during the
game.
