28th July was a dark day in the history of Indian gaming and Esports as BGMI was removed from Google Play Store as well as Apple App Store.

This gave rise to a lot of confusion in the minds of players. The game has not been banned officially yet. There are still players who are playing the game now. On the other hand, some players have found alternatives.

Battlegrounds Mobile India is one of the most downloaded games in the Indian gaming market. Thus, removing the game from the above-mentioned apps had a great impact on the players.

It's been approximately two weeks since the incident took place and it was followed by a whole lot of statements on the internet. But users who had installed the game before 28th July are still able to log in via their social media accounts.

The game's servers are still online. Several top-tier BGMI tournaments and scrims are getting organized and many pro players are participating in them as well. On top of that, Krafton continues to introduce new events in the game such as the Independence Day Celebration events.

Fans are still waiting for the government's official statement about the confirmation of the game's ban. In the meantime, many players have started playing other games. Mortal and Aman were seen playing New State Mobile scrims on their YouTube livestreams. They even asked their followers to try out the game to keep enjoying the thrill of Battle Royale mode.

Other YouTubers like Snax, Kaashvi, Mavi, and Ultron were also seen playing New State Mobile. This has caused other players to switch to alternatives too.

New State Mobile is considered to be the perfect alternative to BGMI. There are a few other popular Battle Royale games such as Apex Legends Mobile and Free Fire Max.

Krafton is working hard to make Battlegrounds Mobile India available to Indian users again. Krafton India's CEO, Sean Hyunil Sohn recently made a statement in public mentioning the company's commitment to developing the Esports and gaming ecosystem in India.

Sohn thanked the fans of the game for their immense support throughout and said that the company is trying its best to solve the matter as soon as possible. He also pleaded with the BGMI players and fans to remain patient and wait for further updates from the company.
