Today, a piece of sad news of the passing away of professional CS:GO player
Sandip Singh has hit the Indian CSGO community. Nicknamed JaguaR, Sandip
Singh hailed from Kolkata, West Bengal, and was a well-known Indian
professional gamer who represented several teams, including JMD Gaming.
Young blood Sandip JaguaR Singh, a fresh face in the CS:GO gaming
community, passed away at the very young age of 26, leaving no specific reason
for the incident. One of the very first Indian esports professionals, JaguaR
participated in a number of regional LAN competitions with JMD.
JaguaR set out on his journey of becoming a professional player when he was
quite young and began playing professionally when he was 16 years old. He was
a member of the country's small but close-knit CSGO and esports communities
at the time when Esports as an industry was just taking off.
Sandip performed for teams like LevelZero, JMD Gaming, Goutfits, and Foulplay.
Team JMD has triumphed in the ILG Kolkata CSGO Qualifiers, where JaguaR
participated along with his teammates MaachO, Zerocool, Tryst, and TORREZ.
Sandip competed against other Indian CS:GO players who later achieved
professional success in VALORANT, including Antidote of Enigma Gaming and
HellF of Team VLT, among others.
Renowned VALORANT player Antidote from Enigma took a look back to his
earlier times with Sandip. He cited a heartfelt farewell to an old teammate, saying
- Today I lost the guy with whom I started gaming. I cannot forget those 9 am to
5 pm cafe moments bunking school. Then our first pro team together. So many
hurdles were there back in 2010. He was my brother, my wingman, my chatta.
I'm sorry bhai I couldn't do anything for you. I love you and I'll cherish all our
memories.
The Indian CSGO community has lost one of its main players who helped to build
the Esports landscape in the country and offered his friends, allies, fans, and
family many special experiences. The news has left everyone very shocked,
even though no specific reason has been outlined by the police and others who
knew him well.
