You may celebrate if you were anticipating learning who will be the last Skullgirls Season 1 Pass character. The teaser trailer for Evo 2022 leaked on the first night of the event, indicating that Marie would eventually be playable. Marie will be the first character to appear on the character choice screen more than ten years after Skullgirls 2nd Encore and Skullgirls Mobile was initially released on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade in 2023. Along with other still-in-alpha actors Black Dahlia, Umbrella, and Annie of the Stars, she joins the cast.

Over Skullgirls fans who have persisted with the game for the past ten years, it doesn't appear to be quite enough. One would applaud Future Club, Autumn Games, and Hidden Variable for keeping that game and its community running even if it has. Other developers would have already given up and moved on to the following level. Regarding the Skullgirls competition at Evo 2022, congrats to SonicFox for beating Dekillsage in the Grand Finals.

Available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch is Skullgirls 2nd Encore. Later in 2022, it will be offered on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 both offer the Season 1 Pass. Before the year is over, Nintendo Switch compatibility is anticipated.
