Age of Empires 4's latest patch announces the advent of Season 2, which centers on the Age of Sail. Update 17718 introduces new seasonal activities, but it also adds a new map, new multiplayer map selection choices, and an entirely new camera that will give players a more expansive and expansive vision of the RTS game's medieval battlefields. The real-time strategy video game Age of Empires IV was created by Relic Entertainment in collaboration with World's Edge and released by Xbox Game Studios. The fourth Age of Empires game is now available. On October 28, 2021, the game was made available on Windows.
Age of Empires IV, created by Relic Entertainment, was unveiled by Microsoft on August 21. Phil Spencer, Microsoft's executive vice president of gaming, confirmed on June 11 that Age of Empires IV was still being worked on and that further details would be released later in 2019. Age of Empires IV gameplay was showcased during the X019 event on November 14, 2019. It depicted battles between English and Mongol soldiers throughout the Middle Ages. On March 16, 2021, the fan preview was made available. It featured more in-depth gameplay and the inclusion of the Delhi Sultanate and the Chinese, the two other well-known civilizations. On October 28, 2021, the game will be available on Game Pass for PC, according to a statement from Microsoft made during E3 2021. After being created, the game was released on October 28, 2021.
The Age of Empires team writes in its most recent blog post, "We've added a new camera zoom level and rotation to provide a grander vantage point on the battlefield and a more comprehensive view of the base. "To find the optional location, we experimented with a wide range of settings when making these changes. Zooming out didn't help much, and it made it harder to choose units and made it harder to read. We have discovered that these new values improve base management, battlefield clarity, and gameplay feel. The new camera setting can be found in a drop-down menu under the Settings menu, where you can choose between the new "panoramic" mode and the more traditional "classic" mode. If you switch modes during a match, you'll need to go back to the main menu to have this setting take effect.
For gamers that truly want to switch up their control setup, update 17718 also includes a fully remappable hotkey layout. You can choose any button for any task by opening the remapping panel by clicking the "see and remap controls" option under Controls in Settings. Keep in mind that this patch modifies how it handles hotkey assignment conflicts when you configure your new button layout. In earlier builds, assigning a hotkey to a function that was already assigned to it would unbind it from any other mapping; in Age of Empires 4, conflicts are now permitted but will notify you when they arise. However, a new option called the "warn conflicts" toggle allows you to turn off this notice.
Age of Empires 4 now has a new map type named "The Pit," which is in addition to the modifications coming to the map selection for skirmish and ranked that we've already informed you about. As you might have guessed, this map has mountains on either side of a low valley that is covered in forest and has one of the map's sacred locations in the middle. Through the resolution of several tasks, Season 2 offers a variety of new sigils, frames, seals, and portraits. Get the peasants to work because that begins today.
