On October 25, comic book fans will again have the opportunity to fight crime in the fictional Gotham City, but not as Batman. Instead, Warner Bros. is giving fans the same opportunity to be the city's protector in Gotham Knights as Batman's sidekicks. WB Games Montreal, the game's developer, has begun to reveal new details ahead of the game's release, one of which is how suit styles will be an important part of Gotham Knights.

Following the tragic deaths of both Bruce Wayne and Commissioner Gordon, players will assume the roles of Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and/or Red Hood in Gotham Knights, making the surviving Bat family the last hope for Gotham City. Previously, WB Games Montreal gave players a better look at how the Gotham Knights' characters will take out their roles in reclaiming Gotham City from the mysterious Court of Owls. Character customization is one of the highlights, and this appears to include a significant level of depth for suit customization.

During a recent interview with Game Informer, Gotham Knights executive producer Fleur Marty revealed that each of the four superheroes that players will control in the game has 11 different suit styles. Within each style, players will be able to further customize it with different pieces and colorways, giving the suit not only a more distinct look but also better stats and bonuses that can assist Gotham Knights players in determining their preferred playstyle.

Geoff Ellanor, the game director of Gotham Knights, compared each suit style to a silhouette, with players unlocking an instance of the silhouette every time they craft a suit in Gotham Knights. These crafting and customization features are likely to keep players entertained in Gotham Knights, especially because they can find blueprints for new suits while exploring the city and earn the materials to craft them by completing missions. Players should not rule out the possibility of additional suit styles being added to the game via DLCs.

With the game's release date approaching faster than ever, it's only a matter of time before players can decide whether these deep suit customization features are worth the time they'll be devoting to Gotham Knights. Hopefully, it will outperform Batman: Arkham Knight's already impressive suit selection.
