With a sudden announcement today, Bethesda confirmed that Redfall and Starfield had postponed a 2023 release. Starfield was significantly supposed to be a bestseller, and it would be the top attraction for driving players for the Xbox Game Pass. But, with the delay, the Xbox fans are left wondering about any possible game releases in 2022.

Xbox confirms no releases in 2022 after the delay of the big releases. No new first-party releases are coming to Xbox in 2022.  

Possible releases of 2022 on Xbox

As per assumptions, Forza Motorsport might get a 2022 release which is yet to be confirmed. The video game series Forza Motorsport has had an every-two-year release schedule since its official debut in 2005. It has been five years since the game’s last entry to the series after Microsoft allotted Turn 10 more time for its next game release. 

First-party games The Outer Worlds2 and Avowed are currently working on new RPGs, but none of the games have any official release date. Grounded, Obsidian Entertainment’s title for the upcoming Rust Meets Honey, I Struck The Kids game, should leave the beta and finally launch in 2022. Developers The Coalition is working on its latest, Gear of War 6, having no specific launch details. Another first-party game from the developer of Wolfenstein, Machine Games, is currently working on an Indiana Jones game alongside Todd Howard of Bethesda and has no possible signs of a launch. 

UK’s Rare developers are creating a new IP, Everwild, and Playground Games by Microsoft are developing a new Fable game, both having no official release date. Supposedly, a new Forza Horizon game is under creation from Playground, but it will not get a release until 2013 or 2024. Several other anticipated games like Ninja Theory’s Sensua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, a first-party game, and Contraband from Just Cause studio Avalanche do not have an officially announced release date. 

But the only possible launch to Xbox in 2022 is Ark: Survival Evolved 2, slated to release to the Xbox as an exclusive console launch. Players, stay tuned for the latest updates!
