The latest 40 GB update of Call of Duty Season 3 arrived on April 27. With the update's launch, players can access a new operator, Mateo Hernandez, which requires them to immediately buy a new battle pass to unlock the character and its related cosmetics. The event, Operation Monarch, also adds King Kong and Godzilla in Season 3, but they are to arrive in the game on May 11.
What's new with the update?
Season 3 is genuinely bringing some exciting new challenges and gameplay modes. The popular, massive fan favorite, the Iron Trails mode, is back for the first time in Caldera this season. Another standout of the season is the new Gulag called Hold, set on the ship. There has been a new addition of locations to the Warzone map, including Dig Site hosting the skeletons of the massive creatures. The skybox of Warzone has also changed, which will surely tease a storm on the horizon. Season 3 also introduces an all-new contract called Sabotage, which will give the players a vehicle target on the map. For this, the players need to successfully destroy the target to get rewarded with an armored truck delivered by a plane.
Some of the other general changes throughout the game are that with the latest Season 3 update, the players can use their gas masks while pulling the parachutes, and the timer of the Most Wanted contract is cut short this season. Players who have expertly progressed out of the Gulag will return closely to their team or the dropped loadout. The Season 3 update again does away with the confirmation UI while purchasing a Buy Station.
Season 3 has brought many fixes throughout the game and has also added new weapons. The new weapons include M1916: Marksman Rifle and Nikita AVT: Assault Rifle. While other weapons have also got some balanced changes like Light Machine Gun Charlie, Whitley VG, 6.5 Sakura 40 round mags, etc.
There are plenty more additions to Season 3 of Call of Duty, but until then, players go ahead and engage in its intense gameplay and enjoy its latest update.
