Iris and the Giant is a role-playing strategy video game created by Goblinz Studio, Plug In Digital, Maple
Whispering Limited, and Mugen Creations, and published by Goblinz Studio, Plug In Digital, Maple
Whispering Limited, and Mugen Creations. On February 27, 2020, it was launched for Microsoft
Windows, macOS, and Linux. The game is primarily a collecting card game that combines RPG and
Roguelike elements. On November 5, 2020, a Nintendo Switch port was launched. The game was
inspired by the developer's experiences making "interactive papercraft books" for children. According to
the developer, after the game's initial release, post-launch patches will introduce new features. These
include gamepad support and UI enhancements based on user feedback.

Iris and the Giant is a gorgeous, occasionally tragic roguelike card game about a young woman
grappling with her inner demons and damaged memories as she climbs a metaphorical mountain to face
the raging giant at the summit. When I first saw it a few years back, I was immediately drawn to the art
style, and despite the fact that card games aren't really my thing, I found it to be both approachable and
gratifying, especially when faced with difficulty spikes.

GOG's Indie Spring Sale is similar to typical spring sales, except it's entirely about indie games, as you
might have guessed. And there are some fantastic bargains to be had: There are plenty of well-known
titles on sale, such as Disco Elysium: Final Cut (65% off), Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice (75 percent off),
Gris (70 percent off), and Sable (35 percent off), but there's also a lot of stuff that's just plain inexpensive.
For example, the underappreciated Long Journey Home is $1, and Aer: Memories of the Past is $1.50.
Memoria is $2, Flower is $1, Florence is $2, and Rusty Lake Hotel is $1.
