The sequel to The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners VR game will be
released sooner than fans of the first may have anticipated. The Meta Quest
2 and Rift game was revealed in January, and it now looks like it will be
released this year.
The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners were released in 2020 and enabled
players to explore the terrain of New Orleans after a zombie apocalypse
wiped out most of mankind. The game combined chopping and slicing
against zombie hordes with survival game elements, as well as the ability to
pick up weapons and supplies to try to live another night in that world.
According to the teaser for the upcoming Quest 2 and Rift games, gamers
will once again step into the shoes of the character known only as The
Tourist. Wading through wave after wave of Walkers in an attempt to flee
New Orlean's French Quarter. The sequel will provide new weaponry to
combat the hundreds of zombies on their way to devour The Tourist and
the other survivors who have survived the world's end.
Saints and Sinners 2 will also do more than simply continue the tale of the
original game. The Player's choices as The Tourist will influence how this new
title plays out. In what will be a 15-20 hour campaign, individuals will be
able to make a slew of fresh options that will either aid or impede their
departure from Louisiana.
Skydance Entertainment looks to have been working on this VR game
franchise almost nonstop. While working on the sequel, it continued to
maintain the original, even releasing a large upgrade in the form of
Aftershocks. That latest chunk of material arrived around a year after the
game's Meatgrinder upgrade. Saints and Sinners 2 looks to be coming to
the Meta Quest 2, Rift, and most likely PSVR headsets in the next months.
