Sonic Origins is a remastered compilation of the classic Sonic games. It is set to launch on
June 23, the day of Sonic’s birthday, on the platforms such as PC, Playstation 4, Playstation
5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The game promises the best of the
experience of the Sonic Universe and has left the fans anticipating its release.

Sonic Origins will deliver a digital package collection that will bring together four games
from the Genesis era. The classic games included in the compilation are Sonic the Hedgehog,
Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic 3 Knuckles, and Sonic CD. In Sonic Origins, the Classic
Sonic Games will appear in the original ratio, exuding the same difficulty level as before. On
the other hand, the Anniversary will convert to full screen and is also slated to offer infinite
lives in the gameplay. By completing unique missions, the players can unlock medallions that
will further help open the vault contents and even let the players take part in special stages in
the game.

The preorders of the upcoming Sonic Origins can be availed at $40. The players who
purchase the digital preorders will be rewarded with a bonus of 100 medallions, a quick
unlock of the Mirror Mode, and a Letter Box Mega Drive pattern. There is also another
exclusive offer for the players. They can get the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game at $45
and enjoy the additions such as Difficulty Missions, character, Letter Box, and Island Camera
options available in the main menu. The Digital Deluxe Edition also adds Character
Animation in the Music Playback section and Mega Drive tracks. The players can also buy
these Mega Drive exclusive tracks at $4 each.

Alongside Sonic Origins, another Sonic game is also under development, as teased by the
developers last year. As revealed by the developers, it is an open-zone game slated for 2022
release.

Apart from Sonic ruling the gaming world, it has stepped forward in cinema as Sonic the
Hedgehog 2, a movie adaptation, is currently in theatres based on the Sonic 2 and 3 Origins
compilation.
