Bugs are not uncommon in today's games, especially given the size of many popular titles. Far Cry 6, the newest instalment in Ubisoft's Far Cry franchise, is no exception. The company published a Far Cry 6 patch for the Xbox version of the game in one of its most recent releases.

The "The Vanishing" adventure, a Far Cry 6 crossover with the Netflix blockbuster Stranger Things, is the most recent content release. Following the debut on March 24, players have encountered a few bugs, some of which prohibit them from completing the quest altogether. One of these concerns would be a message prompt stating that when the crossover mission was introduced on Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X, players would need to join up for Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Gold. According to Ubisoft, the April 7 update resolves this issue for Xbox gamers.

Aside from the Rambo and Stranger Things missions, the developer has also provided noteworthy new content updates such as special operations, weekly insurgencies, cosmetic changes, and Danny Trejo missions. In addition, the Far Cry 6 Season Pass features DLC material for Vaas Montenegro, Pagan Min, and Joseph Seed, allowing players to play as the renowned villains from prior titles. The Season Pass also contains the original Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon as well as a remastered version for next-generation systems.

Ubisoft hasn't revealed anything about Far Cry 6's intentions beyond the Stranger Things crossover. While the developer will most certainly increase patching for the game, it's unclear if players can expect more big content updates. Meanwhile, fans have already begun to speculate on what the next title would include. Many speculate that Ubisoft may go to a live service approach with Far Cry 7. Regardless, if the present trend continues, fans may witness a Far Cry 6 spinoff title in the coming years, followed by Far Cry 7. Ubisoft has not yet officially confirmed anything.
