Associated with anti measures, Halo Infinite has been included towards the "unsupported" Steam Deck roster. Due to unidentified anti-cheat software, Xbox Game Studios revealed in a recent Steam Deck update that customers will not be able to play the most recent version of the Halo franchise on their handheld PC. Additionally, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Gears 5, and Microsoft Flight Simulator X are all marked as unsupported for the same reason.
It's unclear whether there are any intentions to assist these games being supported in the future. Microsoft also adds in the post that "how they fit Steam Deck integration for their games into their hectic schedules" is up to individual development studios, and that "with a lot of amazing stuff currently in the works some titles may take a little longer."
Valve has previously stated that its "standards for titles to receive a Verified or a Playable classification are very high," stating that "if a game shows controller glyphs 99 percent of the time but advises you to 'press F' during gameplay, that's Playable, not Verified." If 99 percent of a game's functionality is available, but one optional in-game minigame crashes or a training video fails to load, the game is considered Unsupported.

The following Xbox Game Studios titles have been verified for the Steam Deck:

  • *Death loop
  • *The Evil Within
  • *Prey
  • *Fallout Shelter
  • *Brotherhood's Curse (Max)

Meanwhile, the six titles in the Playable category are as follows:

  • *Fallout 4
  •  *Sea of Thieves
  • *Forza Horizon 5
  • *Quantum Break
  • *Forza Horizon 4
  • *State of Decay: YOSE
