Warner Bros confirmed this week that Gotham Knights will now be released on October 25th. The release date was announced in an unceremonious manner on social media, with posts just containing a game advertisement and a confirmation of the date. This new release date comes after the game was pushed back from a 2021 release date, but it's not the same date that piqued the interest of those who hoped the game would arrive sooner rather than later.
For such a huge license, the announcement is remarkably low-key, although it could be because Gotham Knights is still a few months away. Today's news is especially noteworthy because it's the first time we've heard a full description of the game in quite some time. Both Gotham Knights and Hogwarts Legacy were confirmed for a 2022 release by WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar in January, however, the most recent trailer was released in October.
"Batman is no longer alive. The streets of Gotham City have been overrun by a new, enormous criminal underworld "The following is a synopsis of the game. "Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin must now protect Gotham, bringing hope to its residents, discipline to its cops, and fear to its criminals. You must evolve into the new Dark Knight and free the streets from chaos by uncovering puzzles that connect the city's darkest chapters and conquering infamous villains in epic confrontations."
