BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA is back with fresh and exciting events after a great run in 2021! BGMI has announced the first-ever edition of its largest, semi-pro event, which is open to Level 25 and above with Tier Platinum 5 members and above - BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA OPEN CHALLENGE - with registrations commencing on March 14, 2022. (BMOC). A total of 32 teams will be chosen to advance to the BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA Pro Series, where the victor will receive a prize pool of INR 75 lakhs.
Following the success of BGIS in 2021, BGMI continues to push the envelope by launching semi-pro and pro events to provide players across India with exciting opportunities to hone their skills and carve out a niche for themselves. Registration for the BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA OPEN CHALLENGE (BMOC) will be open from March 14th to March 27th, 2022, followed by in-game qualifiers, with a total of 512 teams competing in Round 1. With these 512 teams pitted against one another, 256 teams will advance to Round 2, where 64 teams will emerge triumphant after a gruelling battle. In Round 3, these 64 teams will be put to the ultimate test.
The top 32 teams will advance to Season 1 of the BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA PRO SERIES, where they will compete against 32 invited teams in Round 4 of the qualifiers (BMPS). The championships are expected to be fiercely contested and full of nail-biting game moments as more talent emerges on the horizon. These 32 teams must compete in a Round Robin format after setting the stage for an exciting championship. Only 16 deserving teams will advance to the BMPS Season 1 grand finale, where one victor will walk away with a prize pool of INR 75 lakhs. There will be no offline LAN finals for these two events because they are both online-only. BGMI is quickly becoming the best place in the country to start a professional esports career.
The tournament's OPEN CHALLENGE aims to level the playing field for many aspiring players while also giving specific possibilities for professional players.
