It has been more than a month now that Dying Light 2 has been out. Techland definitely has given it all, and the reviews tell the same story. Not to mention, the game has also got two free DLC updates, however, these were just cosmetic skins and bundles. Anyway, several people have been asking for the addition of New Game+ mode to the game. And, to it, Techland has responded that they are seriously considering this.

Here is what Techland and the Lead Designer of Dying Light 2 Had To Say

Players of Dying Light 2 were asking the devs to add New Game+ mode to the game. The reply that was given is that New Game+ is indeed an option that they are seriously considering. However, they cannot confirm it. And, it is too early to promise on it. This leads me to believe that New Game+ mode might just actually make its way to the game later down the line. In a different tweet, Tymon Smektała, Lead Designer of Dying Light 2 also asked the community what do they want from the “New Game+” mode. Do they want it to be just a place where players can use all of their high-end gear and mow through the enemies? Or, do they want to see different story versions that have pumped characters?

What is New Game+ Mode?

New Game+ Mode is something we saw before in Dying Light. This mode allowed the players to have their current level of gear, and weapons while playing the game from the start. Thus, you get a significant power advantage. Many loved this mode as it made you feel a lot more powerful.

Will there be a New Game+ Mode in Dying Light 2?

From what we know so far, it seems that a New Game+ mode is in the planning phase, and Techland is currently deciding how should this new mode be, and what type of experience should it offer. Needless to say, there is quite a bit of time before the game mode actually releases. However, we should be knowing about it before its release, as Techland would definitely announce it beforehand.
