Total War: Warhammer 3 finalizes the trifecta almost six years after the tactical strategic mayhem of Total War slammed into Simulations Workshop's zany fantasy realm of Warhammer. The current edition in the franchise, Warhammer 3, is described as one of the best RTS games available, but it is not without its share of technical issues. Some of these issues have already been remedied by Creative Assembly's latest performance upgrades, but the company has just released its 'Patch 1.0.2. Timeline,' which should fix alt-tab crashes and other issues.

Nate also discussed "the game's incredibly hench arse," a planned update that will finally bring the Mortal Empires' trilogy together for one massive rumble in the Mortal Empires' campaign for those who possess all three. The official modifying tools will be released later. Those are most likely options; perhaps, updates will appear soon. Crashes caused by alt-tab instability account for "most of our crash reports," according to Creative Assembly's developer journal, making it the "main issue under examination" at the studio. While the business expects to integrate a hotfix again in the next patch, it adds that based on the findings of its private testing, it will have to wait "till the next-next release."

The usage of Denuvo DRM in Total War: Warhammer 3 is also discussed by Creative Assembly, in the hopes of dispelling some "misconceptions" about its implementation. The program was present in earlier games in the series, according to the developer, and its performance impact is "not yet conclusive." Despite this, the studio is conducting experiments to ascertain the full extent of the effect, if any.

Please note that the Total Warhammer series does not allow you to acquire the same game or DLC across different marketplaces. This is especially true in Mortal Empires, where you must own all of the games from the same retailer in order to play them together.
