The 2022 Pokemon GO Festival of Colors will be held globally from 15th till 20th March. While no concise details about the event have been released, we can examine the events of the 2021 Pokemon GO Festival of Colors to guess what to expect from this global event.

Last year, the Festival of Colors was a Pokemon GO regional event where everything received an appearance update inside the game to suit this event. During that event, Pokemons with different colors had a high appearing rate in the wild and they also had a higher attraction to Incense. Apart from this, two new Avatar costumes were also introduced for the trainers during the Pokemon GO Festival of Colors 2021.

During last year’s event, there were two additional tasks also available for trainers to complete and get rewards. The first was a series of Timed Research Tasks that trainers had to complete to get rewards. The second was a collaborative India Wayfarer Challenge where Pokemons like Murkrow and Smeargle had a high spawn rate in the wild.
