You all know of Valve, you all know the games made by Valve, maybe you have even played a number of them. After all, a number of its games are free to play, and some of them are always at the top 10 most played games on Steam. Not to mention, even the paid ones have been pretty popular, to say the least. Anyway, just a week back or so, we got to know about Valve’s new upcoming game, Aperture Desk Job. That game is fun and has charm in its own way. However, most are waiting for Valve to be back in full force and make amazing games as they did in the past which would appeal to a large section of players. Something like Half-Life, Portal, Left 4 Dead, Counter-Strike, DOTA, etc.
Anyway, according to a recent interview that Axios had with Valve, it is revealed that Valve is indeed planning on bringing multiple new games in the future. The interview mostly had to do with the Steam Deck. However, in this interview, one of the designers at Valve, Greg Coomer confirmed that Valve indeed has plans for launching new games in the future. Now, this to me, and I believe to most readers as well, is quite interesting, and exciting. Not to mention, Greg Coomer himself said that these games are “pretty exciting”. So, that definitely is keeping my hopes up. Although, Valve games are pretty amazing and fun. The studio does not really make all that many games now if you compare it to Valve a decade back. Aperture Desk Job was just recently released. However, before that, the last game we got was Half-Life: Alyx back in March 2020.
What new games are being made by Valve?
That is the million dollar question here, and sadly, we do not have any answer for that as of now. In the interview, Greg Coomer did not go over what the players can expect in terms of the new games. All that he said was that there are a number of games that Valve is planning to release down the line and that these are “pretty exciting”
Unfortunately, at this point in time, this is all that we know about Valve’s new games. I do hope that the new Valve games are worth the wait, and the hype. But, surely down the line, more relevant information will be out, and we would definitely share it all with you at Letsgamenow.
