Twitchcon, where Twitch fans are treated with a meet and greet opportunity with their favorite Twitch streamers, is back after consecutive two years of cancellation over global safety and health issues. They have made an official announcement regarding the Twitchcon events of the year 2022, the locations and dates.

Usually a two-part event, Twitch has revealed the dates and places, one will be held in Europe and the other one in North America. The event in Amsterdam is scheduled for July 16 and 17, while the event will be back in San Diego from Oct. 7 to 9, 2022.

Owing to the covid-19 pandemic situation in 2020, the Twitcon event for that year was reorganized in virtual mode and was named Glitchcon. Nonetheless, it was loaded with fun events, online rival tournaments in the presence of Twitch’s prominent stars. The event which was ready to take place in 2019 was also cancelled due to similar reasons, but the Fortnite tournaments among some of the best esports players held that year is unforgettable. 

The homepage of Twitchcon invites all with the following message .“It's the ultimate Squad up! TwitchCon is back IRL, celebrating all the stuff we love with all our favorite peeps and oh yeah, you’re totally invited.” However, in a statement released by Twitch, they added events scheduled may be changed if the global health situation demands so. “These are still uncertain times and our plans will remain flexible as needed,” Twitch said. “Our top priority while planning TwitchCon is safety, and we will closely follow local health guidelines and recommendations.”

With fans getting to tune in to the vibe of Twitcon from their respective homes for the last two years have finally been blessed with the chance to celebrate it in person. Fans are eager, more than ever, to attend the events in person and get a chance to meet their favourite streamers.
