It was about to launch in January. The mod named Cyberpunk 2077 R.E.A.L VR support VR head-tracking to CD Projekt's open world RPG. It has got various additional control schemes but is devoid of VR controller support.
You can even check out the video they have introduced. There you'll find Ross looking around the environments, demonstrating map, driving around Night City and definitely indulging into a great gunfight.
Ross highlights some of the key points related to the footage of the video. The performance is stated to be a good one where he received around 60fps, recording at 2700×2700 resolution and 80-90fps in general play.
It is also said that the game looks best in VR on low resolution. There are various additional features in VR like driving, photo mode, braindance sequences etc. The movement controls are also amazing. You'll experience smooth turning wherever you want to go or simply by looking in the way you want to move on. You need to keep your weapons ready throughout.
A precise release date has not been mentioned yet by Ross but a hint is provided that the release will take place by the end of this week. This isn't the only VR mod Ross has created. His other projects too have VR support including Mafia Trilogy & Red Dead Redemption 2.
The game consists of a history of bugs and glitches. Out of which few have been patched soon after the game's release. Ross made sure that everything is stable.
Regarding the new mod, Ross says that the game is going to be DX12-based, open-world and will look epic in VR particularly in the battles and vistas.
VR mod is now gradually set to launch with a new level of maturity which will support one flatscreen game every month. In order to check out more updates you can visit his Patreon page and Twitter too.
