Restock of the PlayStation 5 is now set for February 22, 2022, at 12 PM. Several retailers will offer the console, including Amazon, ShopatSC, and GamesTheShop. It will be the second restock of the year 2022, with the last one taking place in January.
Currently, the PlayStation 5 is available in two versions -- PS5 Standard Disc Edition for Rs 49,990 and PS5 Digital Edition for Rs 39,990.
Due to the global chip and component shortage, Sony PlayStation 5 has been available in a limited quantity. Additionally, Sony has had difficulty maintaining a supply of its PS5 consoles.
According to reports, Sony shipped simply 3.9 million PlayStation five consoles within the festive quarter of 2021.
The console and DualSense controller are expected to be included in the retail packaging. As has been the case with prior restocks, the PlayStation 5 pre-order window might close in minutes. As a result, customers interested in purchasing must be quick to check out the merchandise at their preferred merchant.
There are two versions of the PlayStation 5, one a conventional disc and the other with a digital edition, where The normal version costs Rs 39,990, while the Digital Edition costs Rs 10,000 less. The lack of an optical disc drive accounts for the reduced pricing compared to the disc variant.
This basically indicates that the PS5 Digital Edition will only support digitally downloaded titles. According to industry reports, the PS5 was the best-selling console in 2021, outselling the Xbox Series X/S by a factor of ten. Surprisingly, in India, the higher-priced standard edition of the PS5 accounted for 90% of PS5 sales.
God of War Ragnarok, Elden Ring, and Gran Turismo 7 are among the big games set to be released in 2022, indicating that it will be another successful year for PlayStation. Sony has yet to confirm rumours that it is planning to establish a membership service comparable to Xbox Game Pass.
