A new social media app was recently released by Juked.gg for esports fans. It was released on the iOS platform after a long testing period that began in October 2021, and will be available on Android soon. This app features an esports calendar, live streams, news, and notifications.
As part of Juked, a web-based platform for esports fans, Ben Goldhaber, CEO and Co-Founder of Jukeds, said that the idea behind the app and platform is to give esports fans an exclusive view of life with a single-stop shop, along with discussing esports like Valorant, League of Legends and CS:GO.
This business is supported by former CEOs of Twitch, Kevin Lin, and Discord, Eros Resmini, as well as Mike and Amy Morhaime. At the moment, the Juked app provides news, matches, and talks for VALORANT, League of Legends, Halo, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Call of Duty, and Overwatch esports. A lot of new games will come in the following months.
The decision to become an esports community hub was made based on feedback from users and the wider esports community, says CEO/Founder Ben Goldhaber of Juked. Twitter, Reddit, and Twitch chat are some of the primary platforms where esports conversations happened, but they weren't ideal for facilitating esports-related discussions, and having multiple destinations without a dedicated focus became difficult.
As part of the app, the company partnered with The Queer Women of Esports last year and noted that a number of social media platforms are designed to promote positive behavior. This new app looks promising for people interested in esports and that want to become non-toxic, inclusive, and positive. It has many features that most esports fans are looking for in an app.
