Shroud Grzesiek described Lost Ark as the most "boring" game he has ever played, and he explained in details why it has a lot to do with the developer's levelling decisions.
Asmongold's launch fanfare has smashed his viewing record during the launch fanfare of the Lost Ark. Players who had ordered founder's pack access of the game have been playing it from February 8th.
Summit1g has also said he doesn't like the levelling experience, calling it "bonkers." xQc has also stated he refuses to play Lost Ark because it's an extremely grindy title.
More recently, Shroud, a self-proclaimed MMO fan, has also joined the fray. He said he didn't enjoy the game's over-the-top combat style before it even came out. He's even gone so far as to say it's the "most boring" game he's ever played. Therefore, he thinks that he'll lose interest fast. It wasn definitely not the most enjoyable game he had ever played in beta, but he was only levelling.
"I don't know what f**k they were thinking when they decided to make the levelling process so boring in the full release," he added.
Though he had spoken disparagingly about the site, he still decided to give it another shot. There is no guarantee that he will keep returning; not when he's enjoying New World as much as he is. However, he hinted that might not last for long. It can be speculated though that he might not be into the game after his "boring" experience in recent times.
As of now, Lost Ark has amassed more than 500,000 players and over 70 million viewers. Only time will tell if the title can sustain itself. In the meantime, thousands of players have already jumped into the fray and there has been no shortage in Lost Ark's player count or viewers ever since its release.
