Arshpreet "GiLL" Singh and Viren "VIRU" Mahipalsingh Gour have joined GodLike Esports' roster for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), the Indian version of PUBG Mobile. GodLike Esports' BGMI team now includes six players: GiLL, VIRU, Suraj "Neyoo" Nityanand Majumdar, Jonathan Jude Amaral, Abhishek "ZGOD" Choudhary, and Vivek "ClutchGod" Aabhas Horo. The team will be coached by Abhijeet "Ghatak" Andhare. He had previously played for GodLike as a substitute in selected tournaments when one of the players was unavailable. The announcement was made via their YouTube channel. GiLL and Viru made a dramatic exit from Team Xspark, generating a lot of frustration of among the team's fans.

This signing provides a sort of homecoming for both GiLL and Viru. GiLL played for GodLike in 2020 before joining Orange Rock Esports the following year. He won the PMCO spring split India 2020 with GodLike and finished seventh in the PMPL South Asia season one. Viru, on the other hand, was a member of the Entity Gaming roster in 2019, alongside Ghatak, Neyoo, and Jonathan. In 2019, the team won the PMCO fall split. He'll be reuniting with some of his former GodLike teammates.

GiLL remained with Orange Rock for a short time following the release of BGMI before joining Team XSpark. However, the team underperformed and finished 12th in BGIS 2021. In the BGIS, Viru was a member of team Soul, but they were unable to advance to the Grand Finals. The addition of GiLL and Viru to one of India's strongest BGMI rosters has made the squad unstoppable as the competition in BGMI Esports circuit grows stronger by the day. Krafton, the developers of Battlegrounds Mobile India, has already hinted at an exciting year for Indian esports, and all teams are gearing up for the new season.

Their performance at the PMGC was pretty mediocre, as they finished 13th. Since then, GodLike Esports Leader Ghatak has been expressing his desires to add a new member to their roster. After the additions of GiLL and Viru, GodLike is expected to dominate the 2022 season. It will be interesting to see if they maintain their aggressive game style or adopt a more balanced one.
