It seems that a new Assassin’s Creed is on the way. And, no we are not talking about Assassin’s Creed Infinity. The development for Assassin’s Creed Infinity was already announced officially by Ubisoft itself last year. That is going to be a live service game and will be a lot more dynamic than all other Assassin’s Creed games we have had this far. Anyway, now it seems, that there is another Assassin’s Creed game in the pipeline. And, from what we have heard this far, this new game might release before Assassin’s Creed Infinity itself. Well, all we know about this is from the various new reports that have surfaced.
This new, upcoming Assassin’s Creed game actually was not meant to be a standalone game. Instead, it was supposed to be an expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. This is what we got to know from the reports of Eurogamer, and Bloomberg as well. However, now it is going to be released as a standalone title, and it will be expanding on the backstory of Basim Ibn Ishaq from Valhalla. For those of you who are unaware, he is a member of the Hidden Ones from the Abbasid Caliphate. Not to mention, he is also the reincarnation of the Isu Loki.
Anyway, this new Assassin’s Creed game will be like no other Assassin’s Creed before. Whereas the previous games had a large open world to explore, this time around, the game would be more focused on stealth gameplay. Furthermore, the release is supposed to take place either in this year or the next. That is what we got to know from one of the Bloomberg reports.
So, we all, or at least most of us knew of Assassin’s Creed Infinity. However, almost none knew about the other upcoming Assassin’s Creed that is releasing in this year or the next. It is quite surprising that Ubisoft has officially confirmed Assassin’s Creed Infinity which is supposedly releasing at least after 2 years. But, they have not confirmed anything about this other one which is supposed to release before that. Well, let us see, maybe they will soon? Who knows?
