Let’s be honest, Microsoft Flight Simulator has to be one of the most demanding titles out there. This game managed to bring even the powerful graphics cards to their knees when it came to running it at high visual settings. Anyway, now it seems that this game will be quite easy to run in a lot of PC systems soon. However, it will mostly be the case with PC builds that have a modern NVIDIA graphic card. This is because Microsoft Flight Simulator will soon have support for NVIDIA DLSS AI Acceleration.
In the latest Developer Q&A live stream that took place some time ago, it was confirmed that Microsoft Flight Simulator will soon be receiving lots of major visual updates which should make it look better, and most importantly run better as well. It was announced that the game will soon be getting DLSS AI Acceleration support, along with the DX12 mode. So, if you own a NVIDIA RTX card, it seems that your gaming experience when it comes to Microsoft Flight Simulator will be significantly improved.
NVIDIA DLSS AI Acceleration and DX 12 are on the way to be released this very year itself. However, we do not know the specific date yet. But, it is coming this year itself, that much is confirmed. DLSS would allow the players to render the game at lower resolutions, and thus have better frame rates. However, the main advantage of DLSS is that it improves the performance, by downscaling, however, the AI allows there to be a marginal drop in visual fidelity.
Great performance at the cost of minimal loss in visual fidelity has to be something that no one would dislike. Now, that is soon going to happen with Microsoft Flight Simulator, and considering how demanding the game is, this certainly would be very much helpful for those who do not have a very high end gaming PC. Or, those who love to play at the highest possible settings, and resolutions.
