Evil Dead is a pretty popular name when it comes to zombie survival movies. Back in 2020, Evil Dead: The Game was announced. So, for those who love the zombie shooter genre, it was a piece of good news. However, it also felt a bit underwhelming as we already have so many zombie shooter games around which include Left 4 Dead, World War Z, and even the recently released Back 4 Blood. Anyway, later the developers said that they would have to delay the release of the game all the way to February 2022. The developers delayed it to implement a single player campaign for the game. However, now it seems that the game would not really be coming in February, and instead will be released three months later.
Evil Dead: The Game is thus delayed once more, and this time all the way to three months later in May 2022. To be specific, the new release date is set to May 13, 2022. The developer tweeted out saying that they set out to create a brand new game that is worthy of having the Evil Dead brand, they wanted it to be groovy. However, the game is now going to be delayed to May. Using the time that this delay will provide, the team would be getting all the things just right. The tweet mentions that “your broomstick will be polished, fully loaded, and ready to blast Deadites on that Friday the 13th of May”. Now, we get the release date and day there. But, we are quite confused as to what the broomstick actually means. Check out the main tweet below:

When we set out to create a brand new game worthy of the Evil Dead franchise, we knew it had to be groovy as hell. In order to deliver the best possible experience, Evil Dead: The Game is now coming on May 13, 2022. pic.twitter.com/BfuaOdcFVT
Anyway, the game is now delayed, and the reason being told by them is getting the game more polished, and refined. This is something we get to see quite frequently these days. A lot of developers are quite frequently delaying their release dates in the name of fixing the game or polishing it. Well, I am not against it, if what we are getting is a better version of the game, there is not really any reason to complain.
