If you are a fan of the Crysis games or the Sci-Fi FPS genre in general, then today, we have some pretty amazing news for you all. Crysis 4 was just recently announced, and this is official. It was announced by Crytek, and its existence was recently leaked on Chinese social media. Furthermore, we also have gotten a short teaser trailer that showcases the Crysis nanotechnology in all its glory, and the way this message ends makes it even more certain that Crysis 4 is official. In the end of the teaser, we get to see the number four in the teaser, and then it is followed by the message “Join the journey. Become the hero.”

This post on Chinese Social media was not initially spotted by us. The credit goes to Eurogamer. They spotted an image on the Chinese social media site, BiliBili, and in this post, the teaser and image for Crysis 4 appeared. The post was from Crytek China and it read saying that Crysis 4 is confirmed, and is opening a new nano battlefield. One thing to note is that Crysis 4 is just the placeholder name for now. We do not know what will be the actual name of the upcoming Crysis game. But, it is more likely it will be called Crysis 4 only. Not to mention, the teaser also contained the number 4 in it. But, maybe it is mentioning 4 just because it is the fourth Crysis mainline game. But, that is something only Crytek can confirm.

The last mainline Crysis game we got was way back in 2021 with Crysis 3. Since then there has not been any new mainline Crysis game. We have had remasters of the various Crysis games, however, when it comes to a new mainline addition that has not happened yet. And, now it will finally be happening.

We are really curious to see what the new Crysis game will be having on offer. However, for that, we would have to wait for quite a significant amount of time. Not to mention, this is just a teaser that we have currently. It would be quite some time before we get an official trailer, and the release is even further away. Nonetheless, I am quite excited and I believe many others will also have similar feelings once they hear about this official announcement for the new, and upcoming Crysis game.
