Microsoft just recently acquired Activision Blizzard, and that news spread like wildfire. It seems that Microsoft is on an acquiring spree, it just acquired Bethesda sometime back, and now it has acquired another giant and prominent name in the gaming industry, Activision Blizzard. What does this mean? Well, it means that a lot of popular Bethesda, and Activision Blizzard franchises such as the upcoming Skyrim, Fallout games, and now, also Call of Duty, and other Activision games will be owned by Microsoft.

This will actually be very good for the Xbox Game Pass subscribers. As of, now they will be able to get access to various Activision Blizzard, and Bethesda games with their Game Pass. The library for the Game Pass was already huge, and now it seems it will certainly be even bigger and better than before. Talking of Xbox Game Pass, it has become a huge success and has more than 25 million subscribers as of now. And, now it seems that this number is surely going to increase. I mean Activision Blizzard games such as Call of Duty are very much popular now and have always been. And, as we are soon going to get these games in the Game Pass library, it is for certain that the subscriber list will continue to grow even more now.

Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming stated in the acquisition announcement on the Xbox Newswire that they will be offering as many Activision Blizzard games to the Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass as they can. This would include both new titles and games from the incredible catalog of games that Activision Blizzard has. In the same announcement post, it was mentioned that Game Pass has over 25 million subscribers, and they look forward to adding more value, and games to the Game Pass.

Not to mention, EA Play is also included in Game Pass now. So, there is not really much of a reason to opt for EA Play. EA Play and Game Pass were the top options when it came to cloud-based gaming subscriptions. And, with all the recent changes and acquisitions, Xbox Game Pass is surely on the lead. From what we are seeing, it seems that the Game Pass will surely be getting better.
