Two CS:GO veterans from France are making their VALORANT debut, but will they stick around?

The SpikeNations competition has been announced by BLAST, the home of numerous CS:GO events and championships. Twelve national teams from across the EMEA region will compete in this competition. Some famous names from CS:GO have raised eyebrows and sparked rumors as teams have been established.

Kenny "KennyS" Schrub and Nathan "NBK" Schmitt are two CS:GO legends on the French national squad. Both of these players were recently benched by their respective teams, and after lengthy and illustrious careers, they may be considering retirement from tactical FPS.

It will be their first competitive appearance in VALORANT when they compete in BLAST's SpikeNations event. The event will take place in just a few days, beginning on October 7th and concluding on October 9th. SpikeNations is a national pride tournament that is not associated with the ongoing VALORANT Champions Tour. At the conclusion of the tournament, €60,000 will be donated to charity.

Many have believed that after the championships, KennyS and NBK will remain in VALORANT and maybe be signed to organizations. After officially leaving from CS:GO, NBK has stated that he plans to pursue a slot on a VALORANT lineup. Despite the fact that he has yet to find a team, he is almost certain to find one before the next VCT.

After being benched by G2 Esports, KennyS has yet to publicly announce his retirement from CS:GO. Many have speculated that KennyS will change games, but he has yet to confirm or deny the notion. The squad may attempt to sign former AWPing all-star KennyS to their VALORANT teams if he performs well in SpikeNations.
