Exclusive PS5 titles should reach "hundreds of millions" of consumers, according to PlayStation's president. Consider the reach of your brand.
Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan wants PlayStation games to reach as many people as movies or music, not simply 10 or 20 million. The manager discussed the breadth of the brand's exclusive video games with GamesIndustry, describing them as limited when compared to other arts in the cultural environment.
Jim Ryan is hoping that "tens of millions" of people will play PlayStation games.
"I sincerely hope that PlayStation 5 will be Sony's most successful and well-liked console to date. When asked about the future of PS5, Ryan says, "I hope that occurs." PS4 has sold over 116 million copies globally, making it one of the most successful systems ever. " I'd also like to envision a world where the PlayStation games we create are loved by tens of millions of people." He affirms and expands, "maybe hundreds of millions of people."
"Right now, a hit with the present console paradigm, a real PlayStation bombshell," he says, "you could be talking about 10 or 20 million people who can play that game," which "frustrates me" because "we're talking about games in front of the music, we're talking about games in front of the cinema." "An almost limitless audience can appreciate music and pictures." Ryan, on the other hand, has not revealed how they want to expand their audience. His plan to launch computer video games, on the other hand, is becoming more solid.
Due to the semiconductor crisis, the PlayStation 5's CPU and GPU manufacturer guarantees that stock issues will persist until well into 2022.
What can we expect from PlayStation 5 in 2022 and beyond?
Following the conclusion of the PlayStation Showcase in September, the company's exclusive video game roadmap for 2023 and beyond became crystal evident. On February 18, Horizon: Forbidden West will be released, followed by Gran Turismo 7 on March 4 for both PS5 and PS4. We'll be continuing with From There Forspoken this spring, and Uncharted: Legacy of the Thief Collection will be released in the early summer.
We will be able to play God of War: Ragnarok sometime in 2022. At this time, no release date has been set for Final Fantasy XVI or Star Wars: The Knights of the Old Republic Remake. Finally, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is set for release in 2023, while Marvel's Wolverine has no set release date.
