It seems that the upcoming Dungeons on Destiny will be not as easily accessible, or rather freely accessible as they once were. So far, the way to get access to Dungeons was mostly just getting the corresponding expansion or the season pass. However, with the new dungeons that are coming to the game with Witch Queen, you need to pay extra. By extra I mean extra apart from already purchasing the Witch Queen expansion. There were a lot of questions in the community regarding the dungeons that will be released in Year 5. Now, Bungie has answered it all, and the community is not happy with the answers. As all of it just goes to show that to access the dungeons the players would be having to pay more than before.

Three dungeons are supposedly going to release in Year 5 of Destiny 2. And, among these three, two will be included with the purchase of the Digital Deluxe Edition of Witch Queen which costs around $79.99. And, the third one will be only accessible to those who get the 30th Anniversary Edition, which is even more expensive than the Digital Deluxe Edition at $99.99. Now, another annoying thing here is that none of the dungeons would be available with the purchase of a season pass. The players would have to get the Digital Deluxe Edition at least, or the 30th Anniversary Edition for access to all three dungeons. However, these dungeons can be purchased separately.

Now, you see, why did we say it is going to be more expensive? Not only do you need to buy the expansion itself, but also get the premium upgrade, as they are not available with a season pass. Or, you have to buy them separately.

On the bright side, this is the first time Destiny 2 is going to get so many dungeons in a single year itself. But, all of it being locked behind a pay gate is certainly going to disappoint many. Who knows? From all this feedback, Bungie might decide to make changes to the access for these dungeons. But, that is just hoping, we do not know for sure what will happen. As of now, what we know is that there will be three dungeons and all of it will be quite more expensive than any of the previous dungeons we have had in Destiny 2.
