From brothers to teammates, they've come a long way.

Nabil "Nivera" Benrlitom declared his intention to join Team Liquid's VALORANT squad. Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom, Nivera's brother, has been a part of the group since its inception in the VALORANT esports scene. Both brothers started out in Counter-Strike, but have now moved on to Riot's tactical FPS.

Nivera was widely regarded as the "first" player for Vitality to compete as a sixth man. Nivera was a part of numerous championship-winning squads for Vitality, but the team elected to go with a full five-man roster. During Nivera's free agency, there were numerous rumours about him joining VALORANT, with Team Liquid being the most logical destination.

The squad revealed James "Kryptix" Affleck would be taking a hiatus from competition just hours before this roster move. According to the release, Kryptix has opted to leave the active roster due to personal reasons. Kryptix is still signed with Team Liquid and could return to the VALORANT squad, as far as we know. Nivera will step in for the squad until we learn more.

Team Liquid had a strong showing in Masters Reykjavik, however, they were unable to qualify for Masters Berlin. To qualify for the VCT Challengers, the team will play in the Last Chance Qualifier. Before competing for the season, this fresh edition of the team will only have a few weeks to synergize. Nivera's arrival at VALORANT has been long anticipated, but he will make his first appearance in the EMEA LCQ.
