Epic Games has stated that its anti-cheat software "Easy Anti-Cheat" will be compatible with Mac and Linux, including the Steam Deck. In this case, Valve is believed to have stated that they would like to collaborate with the creators of Easy Anti-Cheat or Battleye.

The Steam Deck, a portable gaming device, is known to run on Linux and receives active support in this regard. Because Epic Games has revealed that Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) will work on Linux and Mac, as well as Valve's Steam Deck. The programme was created to work with the Proton and Wine compatibility layers, which are required for the Steam Deck to run Windows games. According to Epic Games, developers should be able to activate Easy Anti-Cheat for Linux via Proton or Wine on the Epic Online Services developer portal with just a few clicks starting with the newest release of the SDK.
