Alan Wake is a game that definitely made a big name for itself when it was launched. For all those unaware, Alan Wake is an action adventure game primarily, with inspiration from horror survival games. It can be described as a psychological thriller. Anyway, it has been almost 11 years now that the main game was released. And, now it seems we are soon going to get a Remastered version for this game.
Alan Wake Remastered was just announced a few days back, and now there also is a new announcement trailer for the game itself. This trailer was shown in the PlayStation Showcase that took place recently. Check it out below:
Alan Wake Remastered is coming to PC on October 5, 2021. It will be released via Epic Games Store. As for the trailer, it's a pretty whimsical affair. We begin with Mr. Wake sitting at a desk, looking into a space that we cannot see. Then we receive a warning to stay out of the dark and into the light. After that, we get some wide shots of their opening set, Bright Falls, with a man on the radio revealing that some guests are already starting to arrive. Then Wake's wife disappears and he wakes up to find that he missed a week of his life.
Now, as for the contents of this new Remastered edition, it would not only be containing the base game, but also the two expansions, The Signal, and The Writer. So, what you are getting with this remaster is the entire content that was available in Alan Wake, but with better textures. Talking of better textures, when it comes to what kind of improvisations we can expect from the new remaster, we expect to see higher resolution support, modern visuals, a more refined experience, and in every way, a better Alan Wake. It will be an Epic Games Store exclusive on release, and it might, or might not come on Steam after a year. There is no confirmation on the Steam part.
