Call of Duty is a game franchise that is literally one of the most popular ones out there. Call of Duty: Vanguard is the upcoming, and the latest game in this popular series, and it seems that people will finally be able to play it this very weekend. This will be via the alpha test that will start from August 27, 2021, and will last for three days till August 29. So, this whole weekend the players will be able to play Call of Duty: Vanguard. However, the most unfortunate part is that it is only exclusive to PlayStation consoles as of now.
As for the timing for this much awaited Vanguard alpha test, it will start on 10 AM PDT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM UK time. And, as stated before it will be up for three days from August 27 to August 29. However, only one mode will be available in this alpha test is Champion Hill. Champion Hill mode is like an evolution on the Gunfight mode that we all got in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and I mean the new one that came back in 2019, not the first Modern Warfare. Anyway, the Champion Hill mode will be having two different configurations, one is 2v2 and the other is 3v3. As for the objectives, it is just like a Gunfight. So, there will be different squads that will fight each other in four parts of a large map. The objective is to exhaust the lives of the other team. Between rounds of combat, players can use accumulated points to purchase perks, gear, and kill streaks.
But, that was about the available game mode. When it comes to the weapons and attachments, there is a limited amount of those as well. I mean it is just an alpha test, obviously, there would not be everything that is available to the players. However, more would be made available to the players in September. There will be a multiplayer reveal on September 7, and a beta test would start on that very weekend itself (September 10-13). However, this weekend beta will only be available to PlayStation players that have pre-ordered. But, after that week, between September 17-20, those who have not pre-ordered will be able to play as well, but then again, it is exclusive to PlayStation players. Then, from September 18, it will be available to players of other platforms as well, well only for those who have pre-ordered.
So, it seems that there will be lots of opportunities for people to play Call of Duty: Vanguard in September. And, if you are a PlayStation user, and have pre-ordered then you will be able to start playing it from the second week of September itself. But, if you are not, and are on a different platform, then you would have to wait till the next week. And, as for the main release of the game, that is happening on November 5, 2021.
