Destiny 2 Beyond Light expansion came out back in November 2020. Right now, in Destiny 2, the third season for this year, Season of the Splicer has almost come to its end with only a few days remaining. The next season will start shortly after the current season ends, that is, August 24, 2021. Just a few more days before we get the fourth and final season for Destiny 2: Beyond Light. After that, it would be time for the new, upcoming, and much awaited Witch Queen expansion.
Not much is known about the Witch Queen expansion other than the fact that it will be revolving around the Hive, and Savathun, the Witch Queen. She is a Hive god and sister to Oryx, the Taken King, and Xivu Arath, God of War. She is one of those who are at the top of the Hive hierarchy. But, now it seems we would soon be getting a lot of more official information very soon. How soon? Well just like five days away, that is on August 24, 2021, the same day in which Season of the Splicer finishes. There would be an official Destiny 2 Showcase for the upcoming Witch Queen expansion onf August 24 at 9 AM PDT / 12 PM EDT / 5 PM BST. It will be live on Twitch, and if you start watching it an hour later, you would be able to check out the pre-show as well.
Just like a month ago, the Destiny 2 Twitter handle posted an image that indicated Savathun, the Witch Queen. The post showed the instinctive crossed chevrons glyph of Savathun. This clearly indicated that the next expansion will definitely be revolving around this Hive God, who is also the Witch Queen. Thus, the title for the next expansion is quite apt. Another thing to note is that the slogan on the poster reads “SURVIVE THE TRUTH”. It will be really interesting to know what this ‘truth’ is. A very interesting plot twist is what we make of it, but let’s see! Furthermore, Osiris did some really strange things this season that made many suspect that he is actually Savathun in disguise. But, that is not something that we can be sure of. After all, that is just a speculation. But, we would definitely be knowing more about it next week on August 24. Fortunately, that is just five days away from now, so not too long to wait now, is it?
