There is a major surprise for Smash Bros. Ultimate fans and that has come this week only. The big update
is that Nintendo is holding a new Spirit Board event for the game right this weekend. The event is
underway as you read and it concludes on August 10tth.  It is during this event that there will be the
introduction of new spirits to the game. The concept of the event is based on the recently released Mario
Golf: Super Rush.
Our sources picked up that in total there will be three new spirits, which will debut during the Spirit
Board Event. The names of the spirits are Mario, Luigi, and Peach and they will be in their Mario Golf:
Super Rush attire. The spirits will not be visible right throughout the length of the event and they will be
making periodical appearances. As a participant, you need to defeat them and if you can do so, there is a
reward to pick up in terms of extra gold. 
This event titled Mario Golf Spirit Board is not exactly a weekend event because it goes on till Tuesday.
It will be down curtains for the event at 11 PM PT on August 10 (2 AM ET on August 11). As a fan, you
must participate but if you happen to miss out, there will be more chances to find the new Mario Golf
Spirits. One will be able to locate them on the Spirit Board and in the game's shop at a later date.
This is the big news from Smash Bros, but that is not all and fans can expect more updates. There is the
scope to grab a free Spirits Set for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. Once you get hold of the set there
is something to gain as it unlocks one random Legend-class Primary Spirit and another random Ace-class
Support Spirit in the game. This is a freebie offer and you can claim it from multiple spots. You can pick
it up from the Nintendo Switch Online app on your system's home screen or through the Nintendo eShop.
There has also been a new update inclusion for Mario Golf from August 5th and this one is free. There
has been the inclusion of Toadette as a new playable character. Another key inclusion is a new course:
New Donk City from Super Mario Odyssey. The update also brings in ranked matches and improved
motion control. These developments are surely exciting for fans.
