The first-person shooter Doom Eternal is updated with the 6.1 update. This affects platform-specific improvements and bugs, including in the campaign and battle mode, as well as a bug that occurred for users of AMD GPUs.
After the huge next-gen update for Doom Eternal on June 29th, which provided increased performance, improved graphics, and support for ray tracing, Bethesda and id Software announced the 6.1 update on July 14th. This is supposed to take care of improvements and errors that have occurred specifically either in the PC version, on Playstation or on Xbox Series X / S and which are related to the campaign. In addition, problems in battle mode are said to have been addressed and a bug occurred for users of AMD GPUs.

*Campaign on all platforms
*Fixed a bug that caused bullets to collide with blood and ammo pickups when fighting.
*A path finding error of the cacodemon in the boss fight in the grove in the expansion The *Ancient Gods - Part One has been fixed.
Campaign on Xbox Series X / S only
*The controls menu will now display the correct Xbox Series X / S controller icon.
Campaign only on Playstation
*Fixed an issue that resulted in players being unable to join a private match on the Playstation after being disconnected.
PC only
*Fixed a crash issue that could occur when selecting the "Challenges" tab in the pause menu.
*Fixed an issue that was causing users of AMD GPUs to experience artifacts in certain environments.
*PCs with mobile GPUs that support ray tracing can now also activate this function
Battle mode on all platforms
*Fixed an issue that caused the Slayer's weapon skins to display the wrong customizations.
*Fixed an issue that caused player demons to appear invisible to other demons when spawning with ray tracing enabled.
*A bug that occurred in the demon user interface for players playing in Latin American Spanish and with modified controller settings has been fixed.
*Fixed an issue in the social menu that was preventing players from selecting other players with only one favorite or friend in the list.
