Apex Legends is one of the most popular, ongoing battle royale games out there. However, some time ago, Bungie decided that just battle royale is not enough. It should also get a team vs team mode, so those who are getting kind of bored of playing the same mode can have something fresh. So, the result of this was Arenas game mode that got introduced around two months ago. For those of you who are unaware, Arenas is just like Counter Strike games, and Valorant. So, at the start of each round players get certain amount of currency, which can be used to purchase various weapons, consumables, abilties, gear, etc. To make things even more interesting, it still had a bit of the looting aspect. There are various supply bins scattered throughout the map, and opening this would reward the players with healing items and a few material canisters. It is a 3v3 mode, and the team that is able to eliminate the opposing team before wins the round. So, the concept is simple, and something that is tried and tested.
The response to this new game mode was good. After all, Apex Legends has excellent gunplay, extensive customization of weapons, and some really fun,and fast-paced FPS experience. So, this was indeed a mode that was appreciated by a lot. However, there was no ranked playlist for this new mode. This game mode being so similar to competitive eSports games such as CS, and Valorant, many definitely were looking for the ranked playlist for Arenas. However, it was not there. But, now it seems that, in the next Season, Apex Legends is finally going to get Ranked Arenas playlist.
In the latest EA Play event, game director Chad Grenier confirmed it. He said that ranked playlist for Arenas mode is coming to Apex Legends in Season 10. However, no information was shared on how rank would be calculated, etc. But, we believe it will be similar to other games that have a similar concept, such as Valorant, and CS:GO, where you have to play a set number of matches to get the first rank.
Overall, all of this sounds really fun and interesting. Ranked play for Arenas is something that a lot of people would definitely appreciate. Especially those who love Apex Legends for its gameplay, and wanted a team vs team mode that is less of a battle royale, and is more like a team vs team FPS.
