EA and DICE have announced the official partners for Battlefield 2042. AMD is missing from the extensive list, but ray tracing should of course still be possible on the RX 6000. The Xbox Series S | X is known as the "Official Console". That should bother Sony with the PS5. With a large caliber like Battlefield 2042, it's a good form to enter into a number of technology partnerships. EA and DICE are getting Nvidia, WD, Microsoft and Logitech on board. It was almost foreseeable that extensive technology partnerships would also be concluded for Battlefield 2042. And so it is: When developing Battlefield 2042, EA is working with "some of the world's leading brands to ensure that the next instalment in the Battlefield series is the best so far". Microsoft, Nvidia, Logitech, Polaris and Western Digital are mentioned. The most important from a PC point of view should be Nvidia. As with Battlefield 5, there is a close partnership, 99.99% of which also results in a game bundle - as with BF5 and RTX 20. So far, only technological aspects have been announced, specifically RTX, DLSS and low latency -Technique reflex. Even if AMD is not on the list of technology partners, Raytracing via DXR should of course also be possible on RX-6000 graphics cards. The use of FidelityFX Super Resolution is not (yet) excluded. In addition, the press release also confirms what was already obvious: EA and DICE are working closely with Microsoft to ensure that Battlefield 2042 runs as optimally as possible on the Xbox Series S | X. One even speaks of the "official console" for the shooter. What that means in concrete terms, especially with regard to the performance on PS5, will have to be seen. Thanks to the console technology, AMD is, so to speak, onboard and the support of FSR becomes more likely again - after all, the technology is also being used on Microsoft consoles. There is still no FSR commitment to the PS5. The other partnerships are more of a cosmetic in nature. Logitech will also provide its Lightsync technology for suitable peripherals for Battlefield 2042. Lightsync enables dynamic and adaptable RGB lighting that can be synchronized with games, among other things. There are also audio presets with an optimized equalizer for Logitech headsets. When it comes to vehicles, they cooperate with Polaris and specifically with the Sportsman ATV, which is supposed to be displayed authentically in the game. Finally, there is also a cooperation with Western Digital in the form of the official WD Black gaming memory - probably similar to Cyberpunkt 2077 and the Seagate SSDs
